Future Fabric?

The fields are bursting with new cotton.  Thought you might like to see a picture of the cotton after it is harvested.
Some round bales of cotton.

Not sure exactly where the cotton goes from our area or its end product, but I'd like to think it will one day be beautiful quilting fabrics.

Buzz for now,
Merritt

  1. What a nice thought! Too often we forget where our beautiful cotton fabric began! I'd even venture to say many quilters have never seen a bale of cotton in a field. Thanks for sharing! ---"Love"

  2. Well that's sure not how I envisioned cotton being harvested! I see a good variety of other crops baled that way here, but never thought cotton would be too...thanks for sharing!

  3. I didn't realise it looked like that although I should - I think we still grow cotton in New South Wales. A very thirsty crop. ann :-)
